  • Going to Canada, yay! Suggestions wanted

    Hey dudes and dudettes,

It seems I'll be going to Canada in early September, meeting a friend who got the opportunity to study in Montreal for a year. It's possible this visit will also include a brief stay in Toronto since a full week of trying to speak French might be too much for me

Anybody up for recommending anything in particular to do or see?

If you're going to Montreal, remember never to speak French. They'll kill you for "butchering" their ugly language if you try. Insist ENGLISH in a loud, condescending tone when you meet people.

If you visit Toronto, I strongly recommend taking a stroll through the Jane and Finch area. Spectacular scenery and wildlife. It's a bit high-brow though, so be sure to dress formally and like you've got money.

Anything wrong with the west coast at all? I might end up going there next easter for a few weeks with a view to emigrating within the next 5 years.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Monk - How long is "brief" and what do you enjoy doing/seeing?

Which part of the West Coast?

He's coming in September. Yellow snow isn't common until October.

How did you resist that obvious setup?

I left or for you and everything. You disappoint me.

You need to be more patient.

If you were coming to Toronto in either June or October I could recommend whisky shows.

Other than that, there's really nothing to see here.

                            I've been told that before.

I always preferred the quick kill and it was such an open-ended question.
