I misread this, thought the name of the book was Finished by the Sword and thought it sounded like a really intersting novel.

                • Reading Ariel: A Book of the Change by Stephen Boyett.

Think "Dies the Fire" with mythical creatures.

I first read it in 1983, one of the main locations is the World Trade Center, so it is a little strange. But it is well worth the read.

                  ACK!

                      • Kinda waffling around nothing really suits - in the middle of - Royal Flash by George MacDonal Fraser , Spirit Gate by Kate Elliot, rereading The Grand Design by John Marco, and Churchill by Roy Jenkins (although quite good its a little dry and I've come to realize that I like Churchill's writing more than I like books about Churchill).

I just finished Dewey Lambert's H.M.S. Cockerel. There are some great islands of writing here surrounded by oceans of boredom.
