Absolutely. Guinness' acting in those is the best I've ever seen him. Better than River Kwai, Star Wars, and Lawrence of Arabia.

He has such a calm poise about him, and his voice is clear - at times gentle, at times harsh. Everything about Smiley in his portrayal is measured, calculated, systematic. Hard to know whether to admire or fear him.
