Daschle appears to me to be a genuine error on the part of Obama and his cabinet candidate vetters. Tom does not represent change, he represents the old "revolving-door" type of Senior Government Official.
Obama doesn't represent change. The sooner you realize that, the less disillusioned you will be when Obama continues to govern like any other president.

Proving you are a cynic does not impress me NGR. Obama could be exactly average as Presidents go and be dimensions better than the last President. As an example, Nixon turned out to be a paranoid man without honor and even he was orders of magnitude better than GW. I am willing to give Obama a shot at being more than the Chicago-hackdom from which he rose. "We will see" is all I can say at this point but I haven't given up on him yet.

The only thing funnier than them not paying taxes, is their excuses.
Obama trying to hold his administration to higher ethical standards. DOH
SAME OLE, SAME OLE,
The only change we're getting is who gets to keep doing the same ole same ole. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Yes, it is, here. The federal taxes are way too complicated. I suspect less than 10% of the populace is capable of doing their own taxes correctly.Originally posted by The Emperor Fabulous View PostGod damn...

I interpreted that as a reference to the entire US population, not that of Apolyton. But it's certainly true of Apolyton; none of the googlebots that consist of 90% of our visitors on any given day are capable of doing even simple taxesOriginally posted by Blaupanzer View PostCheap Shot. Lefty, the first part of your input was revealing, based on personal experience. This last sentence quoted above presumes you know a lot more about the Apolyton crew then you actually do.

Bull**** Lefty. You can't give me a good reason why someone would forget to pay 100K+ in taxes to the IRS or in the case of the new head of the IRS much less why an expert on the issue who has testified before Congress on the subject would forget to pay his taxes as well despite signing a statement that doing so was his responsibility.Originally posted by Lefty Scaevola View PostYes, it is, here. Shame on Obama for deliberately choosing tax cheats for his cabinet.

Them owing taxes appears to be a breakdown of the heart of the Republican economic plan.
