Probably not, some other form of healing. Ben being shot and taken to the Temple is 1977. Ben participating in the Purge killings is 1992, at which time Ben is 28. Ben's 12 or 13 when shot, seems to be no discrepancy in aging.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

[spolier] But at the end of the episode Ben wakes up startled to see Locke's smiling face. Was that another "flash forward" or did he actually leap forward in time from 1977, or did he suddenly remember what happened 30 years ago?[spoiler]"I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!

That's because Ben thought that Locke was dead. He killed him afterall.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.”
"Capitalism ho!"

Ben, Locke and Sun (and Lapidus) landed from the flight in 2008 for some reason, not in 1977. So that's Ben in 2008 and he's startled just because he had killed Locke a few days ago and, apparently, didn't know the Island would resurrect him.
We don't know whether Ben remembers what happened to him as a kid. Logically, and following the Lost rules of time travel, he should, but based on what Alpert said in the last ep, Ben's memories might have been wiped when he got healed.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

I was laughing when Ben's daughter slammed him into the wall and ordered him to follow all of John's orders.
Yes a very satisfying episode. Especially since I had previously assumed that ben had killed penny. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Better than The Constant.
No. Not even close. Not even close to the best episode of this season.
Still good though. And Desmond beating the ever-loving **** out of Ben was ****ing awesome."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine
"The subject of onanism is inexhaustable." --Sigmund Freud
