  • Sawyer suggested the answer that maybe the "curse" hadn't ben layed on the by island yet.

And yes, I was trying to think who the baby was. I refuse to believe it was just a prop for the Juliet storyline.
If not, it has to be someone important but I can't think who. Too young to be Ben.

And Yes, Juliet did jump up on the hot list. More so by the got your back thing. Sawyer definately got the best part of that deal.

Best episode since "The Constant"? I say yes.

      • The baby isn't Ben, we've seen flashbacks to his birth, and his father is another character anyway. But I'm also pretty sure the baby would be someone important. I kept thinking that it's related to Jacob somehow, seeing how we know that Horace is the one who built Jacob's cabin.

It's pretty obvious that Sawyer, Juliet + the six will do something important in the seventies that directly affects the 2004 events we've seen. Would be real irony if they are somehow responsible for the eventual pregnancy curse on the island.

I really liked the Egyptian connection with that statue

Ben was born off the island. I have mixed feeling about this episode, on the one hand it was great to see more characterization of the people left on the island but on the other hand I don't want a return to the love triangle days of Jack, Sawyer, Kate only this time Sawyer, Kate, and Juliet.

          • The best love-triangle would be Jack-Sawyer-Juliet.

            • Also Sun-Kate-Juliet love-triangle wouldn't be so bad either.

                      Add Claire in there too.

So what is up with all the Egyptian references. The hieroglyphics near the wheel and in the Dharma stations. The half completed statue looked Egyptian too. Are the others/hostiles ancient Egyptians?

                      • That would explain Richard Alpert's eyeliner.

Yes, the first few episodes of Season Three are trying, to say the least. But once that season hits the quarter pole, it's (almost) all awesome.

And, you probably know this, but Alpert doesn't wear eyeliner. The actor's eyes really just look like that. He was the same way as Batmanuel.
