If she's involved you can try waiting around to be next. If you are very good looking or have a great reputation among the ladies, you could even be something on the side. However, if you are one of those who projects all your hopes onto one female at a time, then the failure to get a date or, worse, rejection after one or two dates is devastating. Only years of experience will ease that burden.

It helps to have a ****buddy who can give you advice about her fellow females -- preferably someone you are close to but neither of you are interested in taking your friendship past the sex point. However, a lot of us nerds are not that able to relax into such a relationship with a friend from high school or longer ago.

See, this kind of thinking is the problem. People get the steps wrong. They think it's:

Fall in love with girl.
Get her to fall in love with you.
Start sleeping with each other.

The real steps are:
Find attractive girl.
Get her to sleep with you. (/start dating you if you're one of the no-sex-before-marriage types)
Eventually fall in love with each other, assuming you two are long-term compatible.

It's not misogyny. It's basic common sense. Unrequited love may be poetic, but it's also stupid.

Which means that 85% of women don't cheat?? 15% doesn't seem entirely unreasonable to me, though i'd love to see what 'evidence' was actually used to back that up (does he go around randomly testing people, or is he talking about from those samples he DOES test...). Nonetheless, I don't think you can make generalizations about individuals based on statistics...

well, unless the fraction of women that are not in a relation at any given time is banging the entire day I would say that women cheat just as much as men...

only they are better at victimizing themselves.

"supposed" is probably the wrong word. People have used arguments like the following to explain behaviour:

Females have a drive to get sperm from the best male they can find to give them the strongest babies they can, historically that'd also generally be the best person to protect the family.

These days the best sperm doner and the best provider for a family might be two different things, but against that is the risk of getting caught.

Males have more of an urge to fertilize everything in sight to spread their seed as far as possible.

I think that we're one of a few species who have sex for fun, so I think it's a massive cop out to blame evolutionary imperitives for bad behaviour based on seeking pleasure which both sexes do.

I don't know why people are calling this girl a *****, we don't know anything about her, but her not wanting to date someone is her own perogative and certainly not something to be abused for.
