I thought it was because the identity of the mother was known, but the father could not be proven. (Pre-DNA paternity tests, etc.)

What Supr49er said is a provable, accepted fact. Basing genetics on it would be foolish, but basing inheritance on is a reflection of logic in action.

Kuciwalker has the right to determine what, if any, religion he is. Especially among Apolytoners, his word about his own religion has to be accepted. We all do that for each other, or all discussions will end up questioning all sorts of self-statements.
