The French-Canadians aren't all bad. Toronto wouldn't be the city it is today if it wasn't for them.

      How so?

There is very little interprovincial migration of francophones

(I presume that this is what you mean, not ethnic French Canadians, a group which includes me)

I mean that the French Canadians chased the financial industry out of Montreal, to Toronto's lasting benefit.

Seriously, how ****ed up is it that the Bank of Montreal is headquartered in Toronto?

Not quite. BMO retains its legal headquarters in Montreal. All its executives live and work in Toronto, however.

I know. Operational headquarters is what really matters, though.

For further proof, note that the Bank of Montreal is a sponsor of the Maple Leafs this season.

I've heard from several people who used to live in Montreal that there's a subtle racism in the province for anyone who is not a "true" Quebecois with a name like Jean or Francois.

By luck, you never traveled across Canada as a french canadian. Idiots are everywhere.

To be fair, most groups have individuals who display "subtle racism" towards outsiders. Though I suppose in some places it would be religious or based on other things.
