And I would suggest that a high percentage of people would be familiar with it who were alive in the 1960s. It was a rather popular show, after all.
i saw an episode on FOX yesterday.

I was 14 when Pulp Fiction came out, and I snuck into a theater with fake ID to see it. I quote from it all the time.

My colleagues at law school are a few years younger, so they'd have been 10 or 11. No chance would they sneak into a movie theater when it came out.

When I quote from it, they have no idea what I'm talking about. It makes me want to get medieval on their collective asses.

Also, when people refer to the "first Star Wars trilogy" and they mean 1 through 3. That makes me feel old. I think the first TV character I actually recognized as a very young child was not Bugs Bunny or Mickey Mouse, but C-3PO.

Another one, when C3PO is referred to as a TV character, let alone Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse..........

        ACK!

Oh, it also amazes me that people born in the 1990s are now starting to become legal. That's just wrong.

Bettie Page died a couple of days ago. My collegues at work (I'm the oldest there, older then some of their parents): "Who????"

The remake of "The day the Earth stood still" opened in Dutch theatres last Thursday, so naturally I was pissed. Keep your dirty hands of all those old movies that I love!... reaction? "It's a remake? Good, I bet the old one was in B&W"

More and more I realise that todays kids and I don't have any references in common anymore.

"Hey look! Paul McCartney has played in a band!"
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
            Once again...

It's just wrong if you are like me and became legal in the 90s.

Yeah, me too. Late 1990s I became legal to bed, and early 2000s I became legal to buy beer.

Although it's odd, you'd think from a policy standpoint you should let them drink first, and then get laid at the same time. The two really go together pretty well.

You can drink when you are 17 years and 364 days, you are legal at 18?

As being hand in hand, I agree, that happens without them being legal though. I think that the legal to get laid has to do with being an adult, while alcohol was delayed due to people thinking that adults can't handle it?

BTW, I think there is a large group of us on apolyton who are all roughly the same age.

We don't have many teenagers though.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
