Brother: *makes annoying pig noises*
Me: *pinches him on back of neck*
Brother: *falls to knees* "That hurts!"
Me: "And I'm not even really applying pressure. Pays to know where to target."
Brother: "Do you know where to squeeze to knock someone out instantly?"
Me: "No, I can't do the Vulcan neck pinch. Which isn't real, by the way."
Brother: "The what?"
Me: "Vulcan neck pinch. That's what it's called."
Brother: "Why?"
Me: "Because Spock did it."
Brother: "Who's Spock?"
Me:

And he was dead serious too. What situations do you run into that let you know a generation shift has occurred?

-3 network TV maybe with a public channel.
-Cars with standard shifts (rather than automatic or stick.
-Red Skelton, Garry Moore, Ed Sullivan, Lucille Ball as TV icons for ready reference by all.
-"Seeing" a TV show or movie when there were no recorded versions available to the public.
Typewriters and mimeograph machines.
