  • Payback's a Bi*ch - Palin Snubs Oprah

Sarah Palin blows off Oprah Winfrey by Joanna Douglas, Shine Staff, on Fri Dec 5, 2008 1:24pm PST Read More from This Author » 1857 Comments Post a Comment Report Abuse When vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin joined John McCain on the campaign trail, Barack Obama supporter Oprah Winfrey made it very clear that she would not be having the Alaska governor as a guest on her show. And, in the days leading up to Election Day, Palin did very minimal press.

Now that the election is over, and extensive appearance invitations have been extended to Palin, she’s accepted many offers—but completely snubbed Oprah.

"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over,” Winfrey tells Extra. “I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn't talk to me."

Is Oprah worried Palin will avoid the biggest daytime talk show forever? Not a chance. "Maybe she'll talk to me now that she has a [multi-million dollar] book deal," says Winfrey. Think Oprah will offer Palin up a spot in her book club?

Sarah Palin may be blowing off Oprah, but the host is determined to have some other, more prominent political figures back on her show. "There's always an open invitation for the president-elect and first lady," she says.

Watch the clip below. Do you think Palin is avoiding Oprah because she’s intimidated and knows the host is a staunch Obama supporter? After all, Winfrey is taping her talk show from Washington DC during Inauguration week.

    ****************

Oprah, doesn't it suck when you epitomize "liberal media" in a Presidential campaign, and then have karma pay you a little visit after it's all over?

*****, Palin isn't avoiding you because you intimidate her, she's avoiding you because you're a worthless, holier-than-thou, oxygen breathing ****. Die in a fire, would ya?

Also, Palin's hot, and Oprah's fat and ugly. QED.

      Uhhh.

Who cares? Oprah's richer than Palin will ever be, and this won't affect her at all.

Get over yourself, Floyd. And get over Palin, she's toast. Oprah will be around while Palin is a distant, humourous memory.

If that's the case, why does Oprah seem butthurt that Palin talked to everyone but her? Shouldn't she be glad that Palin's ignoring her, instead of *****ing about it and embarrassing herself?

Don't know about that. Palin has a shot at being the white Oprah.

Obviously because ********* like you give her press over it. I certainly wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for you.

You're a pawn and you don't even know it.

Her schtick gets old quick, and her target audience can't afford TVs.

Everyone in America can afford a TV. The U.S. isn't some third-world, commodities dependent ****hole like Canada.

Yes, because Oprah's point was to generate press via me mocking her on the Internet. Right.

And Zkribbler? I don't recall seeing Palin whine about it lately. I do recall seeing Oprah whine about Palin snubbing here (hint: see above).

I'd like to see how the US fares without commodities.

Not you specifically. You know how women are, Floyd. Drama drama drama. Drama beings ratings.

Where's the lube, this is getting rough...

I can link to a whole lot of Palin whining about the evil media.

Also, Gore, Kerry, both Clinton's, and Dubya all appeared on Oprah, not to mention Obama.

                              Asher,

Not you specifically. You know how women are, Floyd. Drama drama drama. Drama beings ratings.
Ah, I see your point. Oprah's a self-hater. Probably depressed too. That's why she also has recently started talking about the fact that she weighs 200 lbs again. Fatty.

Well, if she is trying to generate ratings by getting people to mock her, I'm happy to oblige. Obviously, it won't make her any happier, which will lead to her giving me more material, which will lead to....well, you see the feedback loop that's starting here, don't you?
