Is that what you want to look like? Being encircled by a bunch of jerk? Who want to be encircled by jerk?
Those are geeks. I am not a geek. I just want a bloody good phone. Whether geeks masturbate over them or not is irrelevant to me, I am not that market, if I were, I would have got an iPhone long ago.
But you have to admit Asher, the iPhone is a pretty good phone. It's the only Apple thing I can think of that actually might be worth buying.
The iPhone may be acceptable by version 3. When it gains push support and copy/paste support and a faster processor (like the one in the iPod Touch)...

The keyboard DOES do landscape, just not in every app. It's limited to Safari, IIRC. I don't know if Apple has said if they plan on expanding it, I assume it's just a matter of time. Texting/email would be much easier.
What apple did promise is push notification. E.g, I can receive notice of new instant messages or emails as soon as they are sent, with the app running in the background. Currently email only updates every 15 minutes, and IM programs have to use a workaround of sending you an email notice that you got an IM, which again is only checked every 15 minutes.
Plenty of apps have landscape keyboard, but they have to either implement it themselves (hard, but not impossible, apparently) or they have to use safari in-app to do it.
I like my iPhone, though i'll freely admit it's more than I need by far. The price comes down a lot when you have a family plan, though, so in the end it's not that bad; and it keeps me entertained (as well as letting me check email and such) which is worth something.
I would say that battery life is a huge issue, I have to charge it all the time if I'm using it a lot (once a day if I used it for more than an hour or so). And I wish it synced more easily with various things calendar-wise and such (without paying for mobile me, which I don't). But otherwise I think it's quite functional; a classic Steve Jobs success ('cool' but also adequately functional technology).

I like your SNOOPY POSTER! - While you Wait quote.
While iPhone will work with any SIM card from exclusive iPhone carrier AT&T Wireless No other carrier’s SIM phone will work with iPhone. Not a problem for me.
If you are wearing gloves, the iPhone’s virtual keypad won’t work. That’s a concern for wintertime phone calls in cold areas. I live in Singapore. 30C+ every single day.
No memos. Who cares.
No voice dialing. Who cares.
No voice recording. Yawn.
No games. That's what a PC is for.
No capacity for video output to a tv (as iPod has). That's what a PC is for.
No capacity for over-the-air calendar appointments. Yawn.
No capacity for over-the-air software updates. Who is so urgent to update their software?
No IM. Gotta use text messaging. Doubt I would use it anyway.
No flash or zoom in the camera. I don't go around taking photos of ****ty places just to prove I have been there.
Plenty of apps have landscape keyboard, but they have to either implement it themselves (hard, but not impossible, apparently) or they have to use safari in-app to do it.
Ah. I don't have a lot of apps that involve typing, but good to know.

I think most phones have to be charged once a day, that's not unreasonable. I don't have any issues syncing, but that's probably something to do with Apple not playing well with Windows.
I think the iPhone does deserve praise for how well its touch screen works, it's exceptional.
It's clear FB has already decided. How dare you all not blatantly insult him.

Note that a number of those things require typing,a nd from waht I can see you type slower on the iPhone due to it not having a real keyboard.

I am going through Singtel. I am not sure if AT&T made any deals with them or not. But regardless, I have read the 2 year contract, its no different from any other mobile I buy from Singtel.
