Convince me not to buy an iPhone.

I like my iPhone. Phone + Email + Web + iPod/Video in a nice package. Lots of cool (free) apps, and it'll only get better.

On slow days, I'll end up web browsing, etc non-stop so by my third lecture I've probably drained 3/4 of the battery. But most of the time battery life is not an issue.

My biggest gripe is the lack of system-wide push notification (something Apple promised would be here in Sept or Nov, something like that) and system-wide landscape text (ie, turn the iPhone on its side and be able to use a wider version of the keyboard. Currently doesn't work in IM, SMS, email, only Safari)

And, not the fault of the iPhone, but WhereTF is PolyMobile?

I was wondering why the keyboard didn't work landscape. You say Apple promised this support, is this some firmware you download?

Ni siao. If he had an issue with it, don't you think he would have stated them? I think that's the point he's trying to get across. Besides, he did state a number of gripes, but nothing serious to worry about.

I can comprehend better than you can, apparently. You asked why you should NOT buy the iPhone. You did not ask "What is your experience with the iPhone?" or "Should I get an iPhone?", you asked us to convince you not to own an iPhone.

This is why you are undeniably stupid. An intelligent person knows which questions to ask themselves and others to add to their cumulative knowledge, whereas you can't figure out how to ask a simple question.

The keyboard DOES do landscape, just not in every app. It's limited to Safari, IIRC. I don't know if Apple has said if they plan on expanding it, I assume it's just a matter of time. Texting/email would be much easier.

What apple did promise is push notification. E.g, I can receive notice of new instant messages or emails as soon as they are sent, with the app running in the background. Currently email only updates every 15 minutes, and IM programs have to use a workaround of sending you an email notice that you got an IM, which again is only checked every 15 minutes.
