I'm sorry you and your daughter had this experience. But now you must do whatever it takes to get police attention. If your calls get no reaction, submit a report in writing, and keep bugging them. Report it to the police station in the nearest bigger city if you have to.

You say the man has been previously convicted. So they know who he is and surely could send him to the police station to be identified, and chances are your daughter would be able to ID him in a lineup. If he's been convicted, it shouldn't be too hard to get the police to take this seriously if it gets to the point where your girl IDs the guy. At the very least, they should be monitoring him, maybe they'll assign a couple of cops to the school and its surroundings.

I don't understand this devotion to to the police. It's a established fact that the (swedish) police can't be arsed to do anything about these kinds of crimes. This has been seen again and again resulting in gruesome acts of violence that could've been prevented if the police had acted on signals from next of kin and the psychiatric care. The murder of Foreign Minister Anna Lindh, the shootings in Rödby and the kindergarten killings in Arvika are just a few examples of how the system is not working.

I really don't want to advocate vigilantism, but in cases like these you're pretty much on your own. If society can't protect you you'll have to do it yourself.

Here's an idea, give his address to the local drunk teenagers hanging out in the park (unfortunately a common phenomena in swedish parks nowadays) and let them them help out. Unlike you, nothing can happen to them if he has an "accident". Way to go Swedish lawmakers!

I read countless stories that say that pedophiles or child killers are often put in jail with false background stories, because 99% of the convicts absolutely despise child abusers and child killers.
