I think he's an attention whore, so the cap would fit the pattern. The sex crimes he was convicted for was on the level of harrasment, not rape or similar, as far as I can read between the lines in the newspaper. (Only the police knows who he is, his identity is not public).

Well, at the moment it's up to Ford to decide how long that situation will last.

Have you talked to the headmaster of the school? I think you should let them know about this.
We did this morning. She was surprised, she had believed the danger was over.

I expected a comment like that in a thread like this. But from people in places like Texas or Virginia, not from Canada.

I'm appalled the police station is closed at all. That is seriously scary and wrong.
I'm not sure why you'd expect comments like that from Texas or Virginia but not Canada, I'm pretty sure most western countries have 24/7/365 police stations. I'm shocked Sweden doesn't, genuinely.

teach your daughter how to shoot and buy her a handgun maybe?
Yeah. A Magnum 44. And bring it to school every day. Respect!

Only in cities. Small towns like mine have 9-5 desk service, at best, and irregular car patrols at night.

Wow.
Sex Offenders names and addresses are public record here.
There are also limitations to how close they can be to schools, parks, etc.
And indeed there will be time To wonder, "Do I dare?" and, "Do I dare?". t s eliot

Mother****er!! Forget about the paintball gun, bring out the baseball bat!
I just noticed I ride around with a big crow bar in my trunk. The police might ask why, if they find it. I don't even remember why I put it there, perhaps I used it as a tool when I changed my winter tyres last spring or something.
But anyway, my daughter described the guy as big, so it wouldn't be smart to get close to him in a potential fight. In my fantasy revenge, I hit his crotch and face with a dozen paintballs each, then walk up to him and smash his kneecaps with the crow bar. But hopefully, I will never have to take such measures.
But if I ever did, I would be the king of the prison. As phedophils are extremely hated in jail, anyone who does harm to them are probably heroes - Bubba would give me a blow job. (I actually don't know prison culture, so this is just wildass guessing).

Can I ask the population? And how far are you from a city large enough for 24/7?
I know our small towns often rely on neighboring cities and some remote places have to wait until someone can fly in...

My town is 10.000 people. Closest 24/7 station is 25 km from here.

I can understand that. Towns that size would usually have a detachment here but our crime levels are somewhat higher (guessing). 5K or less and you will usually be depending on neighbors.
