All the Disney 'kid' movies that I wound up watching over and over again while my kids were growing up.

True enough on some of them... there were a few I just couldn't take anymore

But Hercules, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and few others were fun to watch... with a kid

Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

                Starship Troopers.

Although I'm not embarrassed to like it (alot), most people consider it a terrible dissapointment.

I also liked Independance Day. USA! USA!! USA!!!

My 10-year old stepson used to constantly ask me "Is he a good guy or bad guy" when watching movies, and Red Dawn proved a good teaching example that the line usually isn't all that clear.
We watched Red Dawn as a family one Christmas Eve, and we all knew full well that the bad guys were the commies and the good guys were the Wolverines + Powers Boothe.

                      What's not clear about that?

I didn't like it on the big screen, but on cable it's wonderful!

I had a wonderful time last night watching Rocky III, introducing Mr. T. as Clubber Lang.

On the big screen, it was obvious how much money was poured into making the film. Let's face it, it's a pulp-fiction moving. I found the wasting of money offensive.

On the small screen, the movie is just a lot of fun!

Ah, my friend, that's what makes it such a great teaching example. It seems to have a clear-cut line between the good and bad guys, but when you look at individual actions, you have to wonder. Is Col. Bella really a bad guy? He understands and sympathizes with those who are fighting for their homes against a foreign invader, even while part of that invading force. At the end, he displays his respect for the Eckert brothers by letting them go. He's on the wrong side, but throughout the movie, his actions are those of a man of principle. Similarly, Daryl, a Wolverine, showed himself to be a spineless coward by betraying his friends. Can you really count him as a good guy? What about Robert? Sure, he's on the right side, but he quickly becomes a cold-blooded killing machine, relishing the deaths of others at his hands.

When I watch a movie, whether or not I like/enjoy it doesn't depend on how much money is spent.
