I don't hate Palin. The fault lies in the people who chose her. But right now there's a danger that she might try to present herself as a national candidate again. It's our responsibility to demonstrate (while the evidence is still warm) how horribly unsuited she is for that role and to incentivize the GOP to come up with a real challenger (with real ideas) for '12 and '16.

That can be done easily enough without resorting to hearsay. Those who wouldn't be convinced by how she's publicly shown herself to be certainly aren't going to be swayed by "some person told me she's an idiot".
When her own supporters are describing her words in the way they are, it is no longer hearsay.
I still reserve judgment on the truth of these allegations. But I don't think they are particularly far-fetched, and are becoming less so with every "denial" I see.12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

She's denied the accusations. The disgruntled anon people who made them haven't chosen to come out into the light. I'd say this is more a reflection on the media than on Sarah Palin, who really seems to be a decent person from a decent place thrust into the insanity of Washington, abused by the leftist media and the deplorable hateful culture of the lower 48.Long time member @ Apolyton

What bugs me is the media can take anybody that they don't like...you or me or Sarah Palin and pretty much destroy who they will in the eyes of the country.
...and they don't need a bit of substance to do it.Long time member @ Apolyton

Well Obama seems to think there's 58 states in the union, and he's the president elect. Palin might think Africa is a country but who cares? She's out of the picture.

Equating the two occurrences is patently ridiculous, and demonstrates the weakness of your viewpoint.12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

Why? Ignorance is ignorance. Also, we aren't believing the words of an anon source here. Its right out of the mouth of Obama and on camera. Wonderful. Scary though. No wonder he thinks he can afford all those promises. He thinks there's 58 states contributing.Long time member @ Apolyton

Maybe. But this is strongly indicative of the level of knowledge he has.Long time member @ Apolyton

As for Drake's "quote"... which wasn't even a direct quote... it can be read various ways. I'd trust the interpretation of someone who was actually there, and is on the record, far more than an unnamed source or even myself basing my interpretation off of a non-exact text representation of what was said.
It's just not much to go by now is it?

More importantly, it's not even necessary to accomplish the objective. (That is, to show Palin isn't presidential material.) It's counterproductive even, as you give unnecessary ammo to her supporters. Instead of the focus being on hard evidence (her actions in public) you move the debate to an issue (private actions, he said she said level of evidence) where there is plenty of room for defending Palin simply because there is no real evidence either way.
