  • Read the transcript, Boris. Obama tried to pass Ayers off as just a neighbor. If it hadn't been for Hillary! and Stephanopoulos, now one watching the debate would've known better. I'm right.

So you're now lobbing baseless, bottom-feeder insults.

Why don't you just call me a terrorist? It'd be fitting.

I won't say you're not intelligent - because you seem to be able to put sentences together far better than a woman who could be VP. However, I'll take you in a MENSA-off any day

I'm sorry, but the premise of this thread is moronic. Both sides have their extremist nutjobs. The fact that a couple showed up at a McCain rally is no more proof that there's some vast Republican mob out there waiting to get Obama than two Molotov-cocktail tossing Obama fans in Portland are proof of a vast Democratic mob out there waiting to burn McCain alive.

You like being on Oerdin's side? Oh my god...

I quoted the transcript, and that's not what happened at all. Factcheck.org, a nonpartisan site, validates that, and explicitly states that your take on it is false. You're just repeating the debunked GOP spin, because you're that stupid and, yes, a partisan hack. If you weren't a hack, you'd be able to admit you were wrong and that Obama has never denied nor lied about his relationship with Ayers. It is good though to see you proving yourself a GOP dittohead, given your transparent attempts to claim otherwise.

            • I never said Obama denied or lied about his relationship with Ayers. I said that he has failed to come clean about it, giving purposefully minimized accounts of their relationship to make it seem to the general public like there was nothing there. The debate transcript you provided is a perfect example of this. Thanks!

              • Have fun running circles around Drake. I have to go get ready because my girlfriend is cooking me dinner tonight. Sadly she'll probably make me watch a chick flick afterwards but that's still better then listening to Drake's nonsense.

                • It would be nice if one of you were actually capable of running circles around me. It would be good for Oerdin to know what that feels like, if only vicariously.

He's never come clean as to the true extent of his involvement with Ayers. He's been claiming than Ayers was "just a guy in his neighborhood", which is preposterous. Ayers was one of his earliest and most important political patrons.
                    1. He has "come clean." His website states the relationships with Ayers, as I've cited. Stephanopolous and Clinton both mentioned in the debate details of the relationship, and Obama did not then nor did he ever deny them.

                    2. He never said "just a guy in his neighborhood." By putting that in quote marks, you're blatantly lying. Have you no shame?

                    3. Ayers was not one of the "most important political patrons" of Obama, by any stretch of the imagination. All of the newspaper accounts have validated this, and shown that their relationship was nothing of the kind. So that's another bit of swallowing GOP spin on your part.

                    Really, you're embarassing yourself here.

Just because you're pathologically incapable of admitting that you've been shown to be both dishonest and woefully ill-informed doesn't mean it isn't true.

I know you'll see the "CNN" without seeing the "David Gergen" - Republican and former Bush and Clinton adviser - but here's a quote:

CNN contributor David Gergen said that the negative tone of these rallies are "incendiary" and could lead to violence.

"There is this free floating sort of whipping around anger that could really lead to some violence. I think we're not far from that," he told CNN's Anderson Cooper on Thursday. "I really worry when we get people -- when you get the kind of rhetoric that you're getting at these rallies now. I think it's really imperative that the candidates try to calm people down."
My point is not that some stupid people are getting angrier and angrier. Its that McCain and Palin are stoking the fires.

And what happens when McCain tries to reverse that which they have embraced by not calling out sooner?

Sure, the market would likely be melting down McCain's campaign no matter what he did. But he'd have a better chance if he canned the character attacks on Barack Obama. Aside from being offensive and desperate, they don't work with undecided voters. And they're confusing to McCain's own stoked-up partisans, as he found in Minnesota last week, when he told a woman who said she was scared by Obama, because he was "Arab," that she was wrong and his opponent was actually a "decent family man." McCain's own crowd then booed him.
McCain faced a booing crowd Friday for rebuking a man who said he would be "scared... to bring a child up" if Obama was elected president, Agence France Presse reported.
"I have to tell you he is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States," McCain said.

So not contradicting your political opponent or reporters when they bring up details that you conveniently left out is "coming clean" now? Do you understand how ridiculous this argument is?

He never said "just a guy in his neighborhood." By putting that in quote marks, you're blatantly lying. Have you no shame?
Your attack against me rests on whether or not I put "just" inside the quotation marks? Wow, you're building a overwhelming case against me here.

Ayers was not one of the "most important political patrons" of Obama, by any stretch of the imagination.
That's simply untrue. I even linked to a CNN piece detailing their political relationship in this very thread. I'm sure you'll claim that CNN was just regurgitating "GOP spin", however.

Christ, don't you guys have any different moves? You're good enough at pounding on your talking points, but lack the spark of intelligence needed to really take it to someone. It's like amateur hour over here these days.

I'll admit I'm wrong if someone will prove it. Your lame attempts have done nothing of the sort.
