Who gives a flying frig? The war in Vietnam is over. It's a long dead issue. Does anyoine here dispute that protest against the US involvement in that war helped shorten America's active involvement in that war? Does anyone here think the US armed forces should have stayed on longer than they did? Does anyone here think that without protest history would have turned out better?
"I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!
Exactly. There's a big difference between legitimate protest and violent terrorist acts. Ayers has admitted to planting bombs at NYPD Headquarters, the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon. There's evidence that he was also involved in the bombing of a police station in San Francisco that killed one police officer and wounded two others. He's a piece of **** and should be shunned by decent people until he shows some remorse for his violent past.
Eh. There are lots of people in public life who have committed acts which I would consider to be equally reprehensible. Just because Bush didn't roll up his sleeves and zap prisoners with a car battery himself doesn't make him less responsible for the torture which US forces have committed with his sanction.
When did Bush sanction torture with car batteries? The information we have today indicates that waterboarding was the worst that was ever sanctioned by the U.S. government and that was only used a handful of times before being phased out in 2003.
