Slowhand, I said these fanatics at these rallies were like nazis with a mid west twist, not that everyone in the mid west is a nazi, backwards or in any way "bad".

McCain stands before a crowd and someone says to kill his opponent and he does not make a comment, but in fact seems to support the statement?

Honestly, there will be a lot of people voting against Obama in November due to at least vaguely racist reasons.

I understand now. Midwest is just starting the journey down the road, but in your mind, all in the South have gone down the road and stayed.
Ok, then. Thanks for that clarification. You know us ignorant crackers have to have a picture drawn.

I wouldn't say that the south is mostly racist, I will say that the majority of racists in the US are from the south and midwest.

Not very apt comparison. Nazis held fearsome and awe inspiring political rallies and you knew they were a force to be reckoned with. The South and Midwest are filled with fat idiots who are harmless thanks to years of stuffing their maws with cheeses, beef, and corn. They would rather take their anger out on a stack of pancakes at the local IHOP than form armed mobs to destroy Jewish property.

Nor did I say that. Since you seem to have trouble remembering what I actually said, i'll remind you with a quote.

It still worries me to see that happen anywhere in America.

Sure, I would correct that to be voting against or for Obama, but the point remains that race unfortunately does play a (hopefully minor) factor in the election.

I find children singing in unison like they are in sunday school far creepier than a random nutcase. I can deal with a wackjob here, a nutter there. Children singing praises to their glorious leader-that is terrifying.

Would you find it disturbing to see footage of a quire of children greeting Kennedy when he came to their city? Kennedy was incredibly popular in some parts of the country and while he had some bad policies and some issues in his personal life, most in the country remember him as a fantastic president.

Some politicans are popular and get this sort of treatment. As long as it goes no further then that, I don't see a problem. It is not as if this was organized by any state or vast organization, it SEEMS like it was just some small group.

There is no proof of indoctrination or anything "bad" beyond the song, I'd need more evidence of that before I would condem that quire.

New York is midwest and/or south?

Southern racists may be more open about it, but I doubt they have a significant majority.

                          quire?

that's the third time you've used that word. I'm usually not a spell nazi, but what?

I find songs about politicians creepy. I don't find kids singing to politicians creepy. quite a difference there.

Choir ><. If all the parents have the kids do is sing the song, I don't see any problem. If there is more, there could be a problem, it would depend on what that more is.

Yeah, they should be singing the praises of a man executed by Rome 2000 years ago!
