What's really interesting is she's dragging McCain down with her. The worst part of that McCain/Palin interview is how McCain is telling bald-faced lies and spins even though no one is buying them. It's absolutely pathetic. That man has no integrity anymore.

Incredible. She is such an embarrassment. And in this interview, he's not much better -- making excuses for his sadly desperate choice for VP.

I'm now considering watching the VP debate, just for the train-wreck fascination factor.
Yeah, it is hard to blame journalists when she wasn't even talking to a journalist.

Would you mind explaining to me what part of being bested by, and then held hostage by, the enemy actually prepares you for being president? (Unless you're postulating that a McCain administration would be held hostage by huge Democratic majorities in Congress, which is plausible.) All McCain's heroism shows is that once upon a time his luck ran out, and he lived to tell the tale, albeit while probably developing seriously psychologically scars in the process. Yeah, it's a hell of a qualification.
Maybe it's the way he refused to be returned to America when offered, and stayed with his men to endure several more years of torture. Refusing to hand the enemy a propaganda victory sure beats community organizing. Are you tired of hearing about that, too, you partisan loser hack job without the schlong to match the sausage?

Wiglaf: Do the republicans ever tire of playing the victim card, even when it's obviously bull****?

For years the mantra was "activist judges", now it's "gotcha journalism"...the world is out to get Republicans who don't agree with them, and it's all part of some kind of conspiracy. They're nutters, don't you agree?

Amusingly, Dan Quayle also blamed "gotcha journalism" for his ills. Palin is in good company.

Activist judges has nothing to do with playing the victim. Plenty of liberals don't want activist judges either..

Here, Palin clearly messed up a bit, but she is saying it was suppose to be some off the record comment to one guy. Saying something to one guy in a pizza place is not the same as announcing as a policy position you'll send troops into Pakistan. It's a wash, who cares.

If you don't like activist judges, I can think of a couple guys on the Supreme Court that are very right-leaning we can get rid of. Nice to have you in agreement.

What? Maybe you should stick to hockey. The definitions of political terms and simple grammatical constructions seem to elude you lately.

I know, right! One's a gay guy who can't even piss in a urinal and archives Lincoln's speeches all day. The other one has a name that would make him fit in on the set of Barney. McCain

The fact that the draft was ended after Vietnam does not invalidate their opinion.

No one denies McCain's sacrifice, toughness or patriotism. But if being in a Cong prison was a qualification for POTUS, I imagine GWBush and the neocon base wouldn't have pounded McCain so unmercifully in 2000. When, BTW, I supported him.

You know, before he changed his positions on a wide variety of issues for reasons of expediency.

AND NO ONE EVAR CHANGES THEIR VIEWS FOR EXPEDIENCy!!! DEFINTELY NOT OBAMA!! O HNOES!!!

McCain's been remarkably consistent I guess you're referring to waterboarding? That's not much inconsistency given he pretty much owns the torture issue and can do what he wants with it.
