And exactly why Palin deserves the same.
Not quite. If they were both running for VP they would deserve the same, but they are not.

And Biden also. (especially after his last FDR/television comment) Heck why stop there, they should all be mocked incessantly. Obama and McCain sounded like a couple of 4 year olds during their debate.

If the VP debate is a diaster (high probability) Palin should claim motherly duties or something and withdraw. I could say the same of Biden. But I do hope that Palin goes after biden by saying that's why she's running, to keep hacks like him from being anywhere near power. THE VP debate is really her last chance at any credibility. If biden was smart he should not attack her but keep up the heat on McCain forcing her to defend him if she can. Attacking her may have a negative impact. Die hard dems would love it but those that aren't might start to consider sympathy into the equation. And since that should be your target audiance..........................

All politicians should be and ARE mocked.

But come on, repubs, Palin is setting a new record in terms of mockability.

Dukkakis looks positively presidential by comparison.

Yeah it's bad when people are tossing around the Dukkakis and the Quayle references.

I'm willing to let her use the debate to prop herself up or finish the descent into the abyss she's been sinking into. I'm really wondering how she got elected to anything. She must have some positive qualities.

The main problem is that McCain can't dump her, she must dump herself. Same goes for Biden but his ego won't let him even consider it.

I think you're mildly delusional if you think Biden is remotely comparable to Palin in terms of liabilities. I do think he is one, but Palin is off the charts.

And whenever Palin is discussed ,the republicans want to compare her to Biden like it makes it better or Biden is almost as bad as she is...he's not.

No, I agree that one is a worse liability than the other, but come on, Biden is pretty bad too. The only positive on him is that he's experienced (corrupted) He has a touch of charisma but that's easily negated everytime he opens his mouth. The only reason he's getting a pass from dems is because Palin is so much worse.

                You are referring to McCain?

No, Biden comes off looking like a bigger weasel than McCain every time. (what it is actually is is anyones guess but I bet most would say Biden is the bigger one)

Not sure I agree with you, particularly given both of them have been bull****ting up a storm the past few weeks.

The only difference between them is McCain has managed to convince republicans he's a maverick and immune to the corruption he has enjoyed for decades.

Corrupted? I am no Biden fan, but part of his appeal is that he is one of the few Senators who's sole main asset is his house, like most homeowning Americans, so if he is corrupt, either he is hiding the money well, or isn't getting that big of a cut.

I'm gonna have to agree (edit: with rah about Biden)-- I liked Biden a lot during the primaries (didn't really know much about him before that), but the more I learn, the less I like it.

His saving grace is that his weaknesses are typical policitican weaknesses -- pandering for votes, stealing ideas, being in the pocket of business, blah, blah, blah.

Palin's weakness is that she looks and sounds completely out of her league. She can't spout the talking points in a softball interview with Katie Couric -- she can't "say nothing" eloquently and she sounded totally frazzled and out of her depth. Her form of floundering is pretty unique in the realm of presidential elections -- most politicians lie and pander, but they can form logical sentences while they do it.

I'd bet on hiding it better. WHile he says stupid things I have never considered him an idiot. He looks and sounds like a a a a a Politician. (or a used car salesman if that's not too insulting for salesman)

McCain still has that Grandfather, war hero image going for him. (not that it should mean anything in reality)
But he works it better. Even though a fight in the mud doesn't really help him, but that's the tried and true strat of the repugs so he'll go along with it. sigh

I think McCain comes out looking like the bigger weasel if only because he gets more exposure and he's held to the "maverick" reformer standard. I don't think many people know or even really care who Biden is.

Yeah, if she flounders equally bad in the debate, you have to do something.
