Interesting that Steny was the last one up and not Nancy.

Also not a surprise that GOP leadership is for it.

Will be interesting to see how the vote finally shakes out. We'll know in 15 minutes. Lots of whispers that it may not make it. Let's see if Blunt and Clyburn's operations are up to snuff. I could see a lot of the GOP defecting, but also some surprises. A Fiscon like Paul Ryan was for it.

Vote is ~109 aye 86 nea as right now; good thing the vote is going to be held open for about 15 minutes.

I think they actually think they are deserving of this.

I can't see this myself, as cable is down. Please, keep updating.

Looks like the Ds are letting Boehner hold out to try to twist arms. People keep calling for order but they're not closing the vote. Hardly anyone is budging. I'm surprised more Rs haven't taken the chance to flip.

                  207-226.

                  Edit:

People smarter than I are saying they're running around collecting names and that if they collect enough they'll all flip and once and then pass it. If they flip, the gavel comes down immediately.

And that's it? This is how the bailout plan goes down?

Tauscher is banging the gavel but not saying anything. One vote has flipped

                            Edit:

They're playing games. They'll do the one suspension and then bring it back up for a vote.

Votes can change until the gavel comes down.

If anyone is watching C-Span, the Ds are all in the corner. Again, smarter people than I are saying they may bring it back up and offer an amendment to bring over some Blue Dogs and others. One idea is to make that FDIC-style insurance mandatory rather than optional. That might flip some people.
