  • People like you pushing for masculination of the world are attacking women and making our world a worse place.

Women are naturally better at certain things. This is biological. These are things that are very important to the human race and the world. Our society (people like Imran) want women to neglect these things and become more masculine. But they can't do that without neglecting their responsibility to socialize the world.

Sexism is not treating sexes differently. It is oppression. And Imran is an oppressor.

Why? Because I'm very confident in your stupidity.

            • Actually, you're quite sexist there, Kid, by purporting to argue that males are inferior due to what you consider insensitivity.

By wanting them to be nurturing mothers? That's sexist to you? Holy crap dude, you must have some mental disorder to not understand how important it is for mothers to be nurturing. You're the very case in point why we need women's studies to be taught in high school if not grade school.

It's a fact that men are not as nurturing as women. Plenty of studies have been done on the subject.

Hey men are welcome to be more nurturing. But people like Imran don't want that. In fact, they want women to be more nurturing. But you're calling ME sexist! This never ends.

I've certainly got no problem with that. Men definitely have something to do with that though. In fact, they've got more to do with it than women.

So? That doesn't mean men or women should necessarily be pushed to be more nurturing.

Just because someone has a predisposition towards something does not make it right to force them to behaving a certain way.

Asians, for instance, have a genetic predisposition towards being intelligent but cheap, miserly bastards. Gays have a genetic predisposition towards fabulousness. But that doesn't mean that they should be pushed towards said behaviors.

No, you're the one who's suggesting that women should stay nurturing by making a value judgement that is not universal.

Imran's not making any value judgements, nor is he saying that women should necessarily be more nurturing.

He does, in fact, seem to want equality... which is not something you want. You see something you deep superior in one gender, and have decided that everyone should be like that.

There's a term for it, other than sexist.

                          No, it's not a fact.

What's a fact is that more women than men tend to express a certain set of behaviors which we identify as feminine. There's no objective reason why these behaviors need to be associated with women, and if they're useful behaviors for societal needs like raising children then the behaviors should be taught to everyone and the sexual component should be disregarded.

Concordantly, if there are traits we tend to associate with masculinity that are useful all around, then these traits should be passed on to all humans, again without regard to sex.

No argument here. What Imran is saying is that it's not ok to be feminine. It's not ok to think feminine and it's not ok to exibit feminine behaviours like raising children.

Uh, that's not what he's saying.

He's pointing out that your statements suggest --and can be used to justify-- the very same sexist behaviors that he and others decry.

You aren't following that argument. Please reread the thread from the point that Imran explained why Elok's GF doesn't like women and then repost.
