  • Obama and Abortion

So just to kick this off, click the link and then click the O'Reilly interview on the right hand side of the page.

It's above Obama's pay grade, but he managed to vote against it 4 times.

Read the story of Gianna Jessen, who was aborted.

So, that's it. Just so you know when you go to the polling booth.

There's not a way in hell that I'm voting for Obama.
I'll roll the dice and bet McCain. No damned way.
THIS represents democrat's ideals? Not for me.

This is how I learned of it Sloww, check it out, meet Gianna...

Here's a woman that was so ****ed up by her being aborted that she can't hold a train of thought very well but still manages to be a warrior for justice for aborted babys being allowed to die through neglect. What a fine, honorable woman.

The whole story chokes me up, I must say. Makes me mad too.

Whatever happened to the Republican ideal of "the least government is the best government"? Ignoring the explosive growth of the size of the fedgov, our massive national debt, and the default of industry after deregulated industry on the current administration's watch; that should also, IMHO, include the concept of personal choice.

You know, like the one, according the GOP press release, that Sarah Palin's underage daughter supposedly made.

Abortion should be legal, which the parents/caregivers must go under long and thorough psychiatric tests + paying $$ under certain circumstances.

The problem with pro-life idiots is that they think they're special, they think God meant them to be here. The reality is, they're not special, they're not MEANT to be anywhere. You're simply LUCKY to be here if you are, if you're not, so ****ing what, it's not as if you can cry over it.

Hell, the fact that I am alive, makes me the killer of all the other potential lives. I have killed millions of potential brothers thanks to me breaking through to the egg first.

Let me be clear: I'm against abortion.

But I'm VERY against giving up the right to make my own moral choices.

This kicks in after the unwanted baby is born to a parent or parents who cannot afford or want to raise their child. That's when we get to small government ala reduced welfare and government services.

I personally am strongly in favor of limited government, but there is a huge hypocrisy in those who spend so much time and effort on outlawing abortion, with no game plan for dealing with the babies after they are born. Not to go into the huge failure of abstinence-only sex ed that is contributing to the levels of abortions.

The Hannity video posted seems to include a rebuttal that puts the "OMG Obama votes FOUR times!!! against the bill" in a different light. Seems there were already laws in place regarding the issue.

                      So is voting for McCain/Palin....

A woman should have full control over her reproductive system.

If you guys truly believe that life begins at conception, why do you allow women to drink or smoke while pregnant? Where are the laws to ban such actions, which should supposedly be tantamount to giving newborns cigarettes to smoke or hard stiff drinks, which last time I checked could probably lead to child endangerment charges in most places in the US.

BTW, I am in favor of a physical scientific definition of life. Which is consistent and the one we use elsewhere, that is the observation of brain waves.

I also am in favor of the mother, if it is one or the other.

And I am in favor of non-abstinence only sex-ed.

As well as being pretty socialist in other ways.

edit: and pretty much no way am I voting for Palin/McCain. Not that I really expect Republicans to do anything about abortion anyways, as it gets them so many votes. Really it is a very polarized issue here which makes it so that no compromise gets made (which is probably what most people would be happy with).

Prohibiting abortions does not lower the rate of abortions.

That actually touches on the central issue. The culture of abortion needs to change... not the supreme justices.
