Actually there was a mildly funny thing that happened.
HMB and I helped his ex move into her new place - a condo in the city. She bought a massive 72" flatscreen to celebrate. She promised HMB that he would get to watch Empire Strikes Back on it with the surround sound etc.
It wasn't till she actually put the damn thing up that she realized it was so big that the recommended viewing distance for the viewer actually was so far back from the TV that she should be watching it from a point somewhere outside of her condo.
She exchanged it for a smaller one - "just" a 54" TV this time.
