I feel your pain. My own little project things go awry quite often because I don't know what I'm doing, and I've had to remove items, figure out what went wrong where, then re-attempt to add them.

Personally, I'ld stick to the template, but maybe edit the HTML a bit to make it more personal. (I'm guessing the Yahoo program allows you to adjust the HTML)

It's not hard, at all, to understand the HTML enough to change the size, alignment, font, background, etc here or there, there are LOTS of guides. Once you adjust the template HTML to make it 'fit' how you like, you still get the easy updates of the template.

Just my opinion based on my experience with my little blog (in sig, but nothing too aweful impressive).

Some of the template things are starting to piss me off the more I learn, though, and I've taken to blowing up the template sections and redoing sections in pure HTML. Haven't finished that bit yet. But, I update several times a week, so have to deal with that more. A business site would not update nearly as often.

A year ago I knew nothing about HTML either. That's my point.

I started with simple stuff of fiddling with the size of things. Look at the code, adjust the 300 to a 600, save, see what it did. Etc.

It wouldn't be hard to keep your template, but at the same time make a just a tad more distinct than a default one.

You can google pretty much any topic and get a good html tutorial on how to do it.

Yes please I would be very greatful. And yes, I'm trying to keep it simple and "homemade" with a homey feel. While I want people to see what we have to offer I still want them to get that homey homemade feel. See I know me and how I feel when I see one of those websites with all the stuff and all the different point and clicks etc......I just get lost. Plain simple this is what we do, this is what we have, this is our prices, this is how you reach us. Doesn't get much more simpler then that.

The answer, if the rest of the Internets is anything to go by, is "yes".

Tia, while flash is, no doubt, flashy, treat it like you would powerful perfume or visible makeup.

A dab here and there might be palatable, if it makes sense. Anything more, particularly on a site like yours, and you don't look professional, but like a dolled-up car crash.

Your site's fine, though I would admit it could be tweaked here and there--for instance, there are some slight formatting errors.

And then there's the use of Comic Sans, which... oy. Darling? Please don't use that font.

Can someone who is using Safari check http://www.opstijgendenevel.nl/tia ? I am Tia's new webmaster and she has to get something online fast the moment she changes hosts.

It is only a simple HTML mock-up that will be replaced with something serious, but for now this will have to do.

God I hate Safari. I have version 3.1.2...

The site looks great, Hueij. My only comment is that the content found under "Services" belongs under "Pies and Treats" -- while the price list currently under Pies/Treats fits better under Services (which I would call "Menu"....)

But the borders, layout, etc. look fine. Be warned: I only spent a minute or so per page.
