Seinfeld got $10MM for this commitment. Microsoft finally decided they needed to answer the Apple ad series and try to rehabilitate the Vista's public image. And with their enormously deep pockets, we can expect to see a lot of these.

What's funny to me (the ad itself, not so much) is that Seinfeld always had a Mac on his TV series. Maybe that's part of the point.

    Gates does OK.

exactly, it's humiliating to do commercials now.
it's like those guys who retire and then get back and hang around in their old offices cause they dont have anything else to do...

Honestly, Mark, what the **** is wrong with you.

I'm not sure Bill Gates sees this as humiliating. I'm not sure he would care?

He runs the biggest charity in the world full time, it's not that he doesn't have anything to do.

Maybe when Apogee Technologies, or whatever your company is called, graduates from amateur website designs to something on a professional level your criticisms and trolls would hold more weight.

Just because you're not capable of understanding it doesn't mean the points are invalid.

I'm sure he only did it to run up his Big Top points.

              Good commercial.

Pfft. Seinfeld is funny. Hence commercial is funny. This is better than his bee movie effort!

Jerry Seinfeld is starting to look like Sarkozy... or is it the other way around?

                          That was hilarious. Seinfeld

And Gates with a nice sense of humor.

They spent $300 million on this. So you can assume a) The agency they hired knows the acting sucks, it's not funny, and it's pointless and b) they did it on purpose.

I doubt Dave Thomas was humiliated by doing the Wendy's commercials. Those commercials practically saved the chain, which is doing poorly without them.

The photo of Gates as a young dweeb on his ("Platinum!") Clown Club card (or whatever they named it) is the funniest bit.
