Indeed... but they are both supposed to representing different products.

Asher was correct in stating what I was getting at. They aren't a failure, but the people who they don't appeal to tend to dislike the product even more... which isn't good. Most commercials for products, the people whom the commercial doesn't appeal to don't feel any more or less towards the product.

Um... people to whom those ads do not appeal to, may be appealed by different sort of ads. Just because the ads don't appeal to them don't mean they won't buy the product. But if the ads piss them off, then they won't be getting the product, no matter what.

But they are selling a lot of computers this way. In fact, I bet they will continue to target the segment that they are now targeting and not bother with the rest of the market. And they'll be very successfull doing it.
