This has been one of the most surreal experiences in my life.

Probably won't have power for the next week. I'm camping out in my office (which does have power).

My school is claiming that they're going to reopen on Tuesday.
That sucks. Both the power and your car We have power, internet now (was out all today until an hour ago) low water pressure (can wash hands, but good luck with a shower or doing laundry)

The gas lines are insane, a hundred cars at each station. we still have about 1.66 tanks of gas between our two cars, so no worries.

My boss lives in Rice Village, so perhaps that will mean a longer weekend for me, already have monday off (office is on Richmond, sustained significant damage exacerbated by this morning's rainstorm.)

My wife's school claims to reopen Tues as well, my wife teaches that day. UH is a disaster, we went over there last night, trees everywhere, the rec center lost a good portion of its shingling (or whatever it is). Combine that with the heavy stench of unwashed students...

Apparently like 1.99m households still don't have power. I'm extraordinarily lucky...

          • Still no power. Apparently, no power in 100% of my zip code. Still camping in office...

Some pics in the neighborhood I was staying at. This is the house that I was in.

              • Nice pictures... not that I can really tell, but it doesn't look like there was too much damage.

Sucks you still don't have power.

Yeah, the house (not mine) got off pretty well.
