          Yeah, you'd think a country with the population of Germany would be able to beat Great Britain in the Olympics too

                  I think the squash comment may have refered to Pakistan's previous domination of squash.

                  India was a powerhouse in mens field hockey. I was surprised that they weren't in the olympics.
                  We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

                      The Olympics would be much more zen.

                        The honest answer is probably the lack of a hard core training program to vet, train, and promote athletes. This is actually a good thing though since India has much more pressing needs to spend their money on.

                          Hmm, I guess not. I was judging by the fact that US collegiate squash is absolutely dominated by Indians.
