Then shut the **** up. You're both long away from home to talk about Russia. Settle your cluster**** of affairs, and stop throwing your 2 cents everywhere you go, your "money" isn't worth much to Russians anymore.

No, you're in their country without their behest. ****, what a paradox.
Wait, so now you admit your comparison was retarded as well?

And why the **** would you bring up looting? You think Russia told them to go loot?
Because that is what they are doing while breaking the ceasefire, and they are doing it under the supervision of their Russian masters.

I am not supprised that Russia is not supervising them, their "peacekeepers" spent a whole decade not supervising them.

Are you the spokesperson for ****ing US Army? What told you that South Ossetia, for Christ's sake, attacked Georgia.. an Army briefing?
SO militia had been shelling/mortaring the Georgians for days before Georgia attacked, all while the Russians tasked with preventing this very thing sat with their thumbs up their asses.

What comparison? Georgian forces surrounded Tshinvali, having sent shells into Russian peace-keepers' barracks beforehand. What kind of ****ing response do you think this warrants? What proof do you have that Russia asked South Ossetia to start a war with South Ossetia, by the way?

And oh yeah, South Ossetia has its own leadership, and president, so why don't you ask him why the **** he's not doing anything about it?

You could expect them to move a little more carefully in "enemy lands", they could be ambushed or IED anytime anywhere, but obviously they think it's some kind of parade.

How could the rebels sport a 50 tank column, one week after they were attacked by Georgia? All ancient tanks owned by rebels should have been more or less wiped out on the first day.

The tanks must be Russian. And I trust the Swedish reporters can tell the difference between Russians and rebels when they are talking to the soldiers riding in the column.

Bush warns Russia not to try any ****...

WASHINGTON - President Bush said Wednesday he is skeptical that Moscow is honoring a cease-fire in neighboring Georgia, demanding that Russia end all military activities in the former Soviet republic and withdraw all its forces.

Good luck demanding ****. This isn't the Soviet Union in the 80s, with food shortages, dependent on import of grain.

Why would that be necessary? They were far inside their own border, and not shooting at anyone, were they?

                          My Two cents:

I was away at a gaming convention when the news spread out about the russian invasion. You should have seen all those geeks and gamers and weird people in general talking about it; every now and then somebody came to the conversation and thought they were talking about a roleplaying game or a movie or something.

But no, this was for real.

Personally, I'm not surprised at all with what the UN or NATO are doing (nothing, yes).
What really scares me is that if Russia is capable of doing that, what stops them from doing something similar in another neighbour sovereing country?

The point is, you can't control all unforeseen or even foreseen factors. You should know that.
You simply order them to stop looting, pillaging, and killing. If they don't then you shoot them. That's what real peace keepers would do but Russia is just letting their proxies run wild.

Wait, so the Russians haven't taken Tblisi yet?????

Anyway, it was funny hearing Saakshavili claim that Russian forces were heading to dethrone him at the same time his interior minister is telling people to calm down, that Russian forces weren't movng towards the capital. Nice way to coordinate PR efforts there.....

The Russians should be taking steps to stop looting by Ossetians of Georgian villages - its that kind of tribal tit for tat that makes the Caucauses such a problem, and its wrong for the Russians to allow it, as they seem to be doing.
