That's bullsh!t. Georgians started that. Their mortared Tskhivali for days, then concentrated their forces and launched a major offensive with tanks, heavy artillery, MLRSs and bombers.
    That's called a aggression.
    And a war crime.

What? Everyone who has said we need to be a lot warier of Russia has just been vindicated. We need to be more aggressive (geopolitically) towards them, not less.

That means letting Ukraine into NATO. That means US bases in Poland. That means everything else we can do to eliminate their sphere of influence.

I know that. I was asking about Lithuania, not US.
I wonder how Saras reacted to the entrance of the Soviet forces in Vilnius to "restore the constitutional order" in 1991. Actually I know his reaction, but what amuses me is that he is creaming his pants in support of much worse (but alike) actions of the Sukashvili regime wrt to the South Ossetians.
In his twisted mind Lithuanians as supreme beings surely deserve independence, and South Ossetians deserve nothing more but genocide.
That's why I still think he is a double talking nazi.

So, Serb, tell me about the protests in Russia against the invasion of Georgia.
I'm sure some jerks are protesting somewhere in Russia (some well-known US-paid biatches like Novodvorskaya do it on radio, etc), but 99% of Russians support our intervention in South Ossetia to save our peacekeepers and Ossetian civilians from Georgian butchers. Because it wasn't us who started this war and our actions there are fully justified.

I like it when people protest things I agree with, it means they can and that if I want to protest something, I can. My point Serb is not to demonize those "US-paid biatches like Novodvorskaya", they are doing a good thing no matter if they are right or wrong. Same goes for those like Saras with whom you disagree. He has the freedom to disagree with you and he is exerciseing that freedom. That's a good thing.

And what if majority of Ukrainians do not want Ukraine to be in NATO?
What if majority of Czechs do not want US radar on their territory?
Sure who the **** on the West cares about the will of the people?

            Why?
Because unprovoked bombardments and invasion of independent countries it's only your sacred right, but nobody else?
And other countries have no right to send reinforcements to save their peacekeeping forces and civilians who are under attack from aggressor?

I need a honest answer to these questions.

Oh, sure it's a good thing, but the campaign of lie and brainwashing I see in your media, which portrays aggressors and butchers of Tskhinvali as a victims IS NOT.

It's not monolithic. I've seen questions about what you assert as well. The media here tends to focus on the evil of the day. Today Russian forces are attacking Georgia. If your forces pull out and let the UN in then you will see an international investigation of both sides and that investigation will be prominantly reported in our media.

Serb, right now I'm watching a guest of Bill Moyers rip various policys of the US incl Iraq up and down. Perhaps you hear there that there is no criticism, but I assure you there is alot.

They have democratically elected governments. Those can and should occasionally do unpopular things.

                      1) Why do you assume that because I'm American, I think we should have gone into Iraq?

                      2) I'm agnostic on the actual Georgia confrontation. I see both sides of it. But I think Russia has demonstrated, here and elsewhere, that it believes it has the right to act unopposed in former satellite states, which is unacceptable and a step back towards the Soviet Union.

The thing is, Russia is not the Soviet Union, it is not the strategic equal of the United States, and our interests sharply diverge in many, many places. You are no longer an existential threat, but you are an obstacle. And in the long run, you could become a genuine threat again. So, it's best now for us to defang you permanently.

And, really, it's in the best interests of the Russian people to give up the imperialism. It may cost you some national stature, but the economic benefits of true integration with the West far outweigh that IMO.

Have you seen our balance of trade Sloww? Our national debt? Your estimate is fairly sound for Russia, and is getting that way for the US.

                              Nothing.

That was a clear message that nobody is allowed to attack Russian peacekeepers and massacre a peaceful city full of Russian citizens without a harsh, adequate and immediate respond from Russia.
