The portion you put in using cash is there. The portion using check is not.

Edit: Still something is wierd. Dolores says that Teresa said that the total with the original deposit plus the check had both shown as in the acct and when she checked the balance it wasn't there. So, tomorrow we're off to Tag to find it out plus look for the wheelbarrow.

You could be right. I put a $500 check in on Jan. 8, which is just over a month ago. --IIRC, they said it would take 3 weeks to clear...but haven't you said to expect a month for a U.S. check to clear?

An idea on the wheelbarrow: Why don't you see if that little shop around the bend that built your spiral staircase can build a wheelbarrow? It doesn't have to be eligant, just strong. It might be cheaper and easier than a trip into Tag.

The heavy duty wheel, mondo bearings, and large pin for the axle are the thing. Gotta have em or there's no point. That's really what we're tracking down and you're right anyone could fabricate the rest though I've never done it or instructed someone to. Still, it wouldn't be too tricky I think. But! If the wheel has a strong umm, barrow, aleady built on it well that's one less headache. Anyway, no wheel assembly in this one horse town and that's for sure.

Besides, Theresa won't be able to sleep until we track down your deposit and papa's van is a 3 cylinder and won't burn much gas, maybe $6ish...

However its your call.
