A lot of innocent people were murdered.
But the Russians only murdered the guilty?
I sure hope that you are realizing here that the Russians are far from innocent regardless of what Georgia did.

Articles have been posted in this very thread with first hand accounts from Western reporters saying the Russian government was placing severe restrictions on them because the Russians wanted to control the information coming out. It's a classic propaganda move and the type of thing Russia is well known for.

The Guardian is reporting that Russian irregulars and militia have broken the ceasefire. I had a feeling this would happen. How much control does the Russian Army really have over Cossacks and other nutters?
on newsnight last night they were reporting from gori, which the georgian army appears to have abandoned. casualties were coming in and the feeling was that it wasn't the russian army but ossetian irregulars who were responsible.
of course, these sorts of skirmishes tend to happen after any ceasefire. it's just a question of whether they will escalate.

Swedish reporters in Gori have seen lots of Russian tanks rolling into town this morning, with infantry riding on top, obviously not expecting any resistance.

The reason for renewed actions is, apparently, the fact that they found a plan by Georgia to attack Abkhazia on multiple fronts relatively soon.
You forgot the massive airdrop on the Kremlin.
