Under Giuliani and his successor, Michael Bloomberg, New York then evolved toward a "don't ask, don't tell" policy, in which city officials are no longer forbidden from sharing information with Washington but are barred from inquiring about the immigration status of people using city services, except when it's relevant to assess eligibility. That usually leaves local officials with no information to share except, again, in criminal cases.
Read the bolded sentence again and remember that I've been talking about criminal cases the entire time.

Imran, they may not HAVE to cooperate, but it's still unacceptable to me that they won't.

Same comment as the other similar thread about protecting these scumbags, "I'm so tired of this PC bull****". Hands up who wants California to secede from the union! I predict no one will favor a civil war to stop it.

              Fair enough.

Yeah, those ****ers can buy their own god damned stop signs.

In any event, as Kribbler already pointed out, this case had zero to do with San Francisco's sanctuary policy. The Feds already had a wack at him and said they didn't want him plus he was married to a citizen with a citizenship application pending so he wouldn't have been eligible for deportation in any event.

Once again we have the loony right trying to make connections between things where no connections exist.

He would have been deported after his first two felonies, not this incident. Keep up.

Are you ****ing mental? Or do you desire to ignore any of the history behind this incident?
