    No thread for this movie?

    Anyways, is anyone else ridiculously excited about seeing this?

    Reviewers seem to like it. And everyone is gushing over Ledger's performance, but that's to be expected given the circumstances.

          Interested but the only reason I'm excited about it is my daughter wants me to take her to see it this weekend, (after we play golf). It looks like a daddy daughter day.
          It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

                  This is one of the movies I actually am looking forward. It's been a long time since I was interested in a movie before it got out. But this seems like a really good one, I'm glad they stepped up with it it seems like.

                  That, plus next year Killing Pablo with Christian Bale will be awesome

                      That's what I would normally do. But since the porn industry steered me wrong leading me to buy a HD DVD player, I'll have to wait a bit before buying a Blueray player. At least it upgrades all my old DVDs.

                        Any movie that can do cool things with the world's goofiest villian is worth seeing.

                        I thought Jack did the ultimate Joker, but the stuff I'm hearing about Heath is pretty good, even allowing for the post-mortem whitewash.

                              You don't think the Joker is the world's goofiest villian? I was never very into the DC books, but he's the best example of why DC had inferior villians to Marvel. Maybe it was supposed to be a clever symbol reversal: traditionally harmless clown = evil, traditionally evil bat = good.

                              That being said, Jack's joker was great, and Heath's looks like it could be even better -- very dark, very crazy.
