    So again why the offense?
Here I believe you are just mistaken, though this is probably foolish of me. I didn't take offense to it. I simply labelled it as the insult that it was intended to be by Oerdin's enemies. If anyone of them has another intention than that for it, they are free to clarify my error. But given that Oerdin's name has been used to insult other's before, I feel confident in my decision. Again, the only offense you see is imaginary.

I stand corrected then since you didn't feel insulted and I would not presume to tell you what you think or felt at the time. I likewise encourage the same courtesies and discourse from you if you please. So in your estimation then what were the 'enemies of Oerdin' (is that trademarked?) attempting to claim against you if not an all consuming hackery motif?

This thread started out with an excellent piece from the NYT which raised some good questions about one of the most talked about issues in the media today. To bad some people pissed all over it without even reading it.

Imran, you're a reasonable and well-informed republican and McCain supporter (as far as I can tell). What's your take? Do you think that there is a misrepresentation of disgruntled Clinton supporters? The article is general points out many potential weaknesses in McCain's campaign. Agree, disagree, maybe?

They were simply trying to discredit me by attacking my character. Simply calling someone an *******, doesn't make it so. Like I did to you, you have to prove it.

I believe that he thinks it's political hackery, but can't articulate why. Hence, he's using your name to do it in some fantastical twist of logic.

But this makes no sense. If it truly had no meaning you would simply ignore or even embrace the moniker.

There are more options than what you list. In fact, the majority of your statements seem to consist of limiting things to 2 choices. Are you really so unimaginitive?

Not really, I am very tired of all the pol threads at the moment. And to be truthful the act of arguing one iota is a waste of electrons as there has yet to be a person persuaded on Poly of anything so far as I can tell.

I could give adnauseum slams against Obama, McCain or Hillary but realize my doing so means little to anyone else or their voting liklihoods. So naah I think I'll pass and explore the motivations of posters instead as I find it a more interesting diversion.

And yet I continue to ask open ended questions as to the alternatives but have few provided in return response.

That's a shame. I simply wanted to hear other people's opinions on it (no, not their insults , that just weeds out the morons). I certainly didn't expect it to change anyone's preference for voting. Odd that you would think that was the intention.

Either or questions are not open-ended. And I've answered them all as presented. Please stay in reality with me.

                                correction 3 choices

                                1. the one you took namely calling people out for an attempted insult

                                2. Ignore the jibe

                                3. Accept the term and thank the posters for their implied compliment

More choices always welcomed for my feeble brain.
