  • Aussie govt to kids: "you should die you little pigs"

Check out this utter insanity. The Australian government has put up this website for kids where they can learn to feel guilty for doing such terrible things as driving in cars, eating meat, and spending money. Click on the "Greenhouse Calculator" where you can "find out when you should die"!!! That's right kids, you're sucking up more than your share of the earth's resources you selfish little pigs!!! Take our quiz to find out what age you should die to avoid using more than your share!!!

All the latest science news, in-depth features, games and conversations as they happen from around Australia and the world.

And did you notice that their main page claims to explore the issues "without the guilt" !? Riiiight...."Hey kids, see this fat, greedy pig? That's you, and if you had died many years ago you wouldn't have hogged more than your share of the earth's resources!"

    Nope, no guilt-tripping here...

This is the kind of stuff that could easily be mistaken for parody!

This is really over board. Yeah, no guilt... what BS.
Let's tell the little kiddies that they should already be dead.

As a parody, it might be funny. As something real, it's quite disturbing.
    Keep on Civin'
RIP rah, Tony Bogey & Baron O

That's the ABC, not the Australian government, that's saying this. The ABC certainly didn't ask Kevin Rudd & Co., or anyone else in the government for that matter, if they could put up that site.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation is entirely funded by the taxpayer, so it's basically a government entity.

I should die at 11.4, but those are piggy years, which are obviously like 7 human years. 80 years is much more reasonable.

If you pick all the worst options, but set the slider to totally green for the last question you get -300 tons.

That makes only sense when the gov is directly responsible for the content.

How could anyone take this seriously?

btw if you pick all the best 'green' items "You can live forever" and you're lil' piggy floats away.

                        This is absolutely pathetic.

"What do you spend your money on?

                        A. Ordinary Stuff: Food, Clothing, Shelter

                        B. Hippie Green Stuff

                        C. Investments in our super-militant green agenda special interests lobby!!!!

If you answered A or B, you should be shot, you grubby little boy, for killing our planet! Give all your money to us, or die!"

I mean, seriously! What kid is investing at the age of 9? Why tell a child they should already by dead?

What is wrong with these people?

Honestly given the last question it is sort of hard not to be "allowed" to live forever.

If you but 5-10% into a retirement plan/savings I would consider that C. My 20% means I can be immortal
