I once saw a docu claiming there was a guy looking similar to Hitler found dead in the bunker complex but the Red Army guys determined he must have been a double since he was wearing socks with large holes, and they couldn't imagine that the Führer doesn't have good socks.Originally posted by Panag

even the fuhrer himself might have had socks like that , see the famous pic with the hitler jugend , with his thick old coat on the last days of the war , .... it looks like a used piece , maybe not even from him , ....towards the last months one can wonder if socks where really that important , ....

Towards the end of the war, Hitler was suffering from tritiary syphilis and addiction to several drugs. Even if he'd have survived the war, he wouldn't have lasted long.
BTW: Didn't someone do some DNA tests on skull fragments recovered by the Soviets and determine they belonged to Hitler?Comment
