Kid, I was responding to Floyd's wild claims about how awfully liberal Obama supposedly is. I thought it was funny, given that Floyd is an extremist (much like Che and you). An extremist ranting about someone else's supposed extremism doesn't impress me.

THAT WAS ALL. I wasn't trying to make some profound point.

I think that the extremist/centrist argument is a bunch of bull.

WFT?! Fine explain to me why average is different. Not that I have much time today for this.

I recognize you are a busy and important man, but please take some time out of your life to get smart.

        • And I'm curious, Kid, if I'm left or right wing. I'm apparently no where in the middle...

You are "right." From what I know anyway, which isn't much.

I stand corrected as to the targets of said pandering. Either way, I'd prefer he get his facts straight.

Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.

                        • I saw the actual clip too. I've seen other clips where he's misspoken during speeches. It's hilarious how people expect anyone in front of cameras for months on end to never misspeak. It's even more inane that you think that it's impossible that it could be so.
Yes, watch letterman almost any night of the week and they'll show a BUSH flub. Lots of camera time, lots of opportunities to flub.
But this isn't a simple flubbed line. Yes I believe it was intentional, since his campaign group though it would sound better.

You want to pretend this is some nefarious plot to intentionally mislead people about what concentration camp was involved. It's obvious that it wouldn't go unnoticed. It's equally obvious that there's nothing to gain by making the mistake. If you really believe he was just trying to improve his cred with vets, then how is that served by intentionally making yourself look ignorant of the subject matter you're trying to relate with them about? It just doesn't make any sense at all.
He underestimated his audiance. You can't stretch the truth these days, since some blogger will be listening and the whole world will later be verifying. You're right, it makes no sense since it will just make him look like your typical lying politician. (which he loves to proclaim that he's not) He made a mistake trying to embelish a story.

But the main thing wrong with this entire "issue" is that no one gives a damn about the actual issue he was addressing, which is homeless vets suffering from PTSS and his views on what should be done about it. That's what the discussion should be about. It's shameful that so many in our nation would rather jack themselves off about some mistake in a speech than just actually address real issues.
Yeah, while that is a shame, Obama only has himself to blame. If you're trying to make a point you shouldn't alter the facts just to sound better. It take the focus off what you're trying to say.

I personally find this funny that you think it's an innocent mispeak. God, there are staffers that are supposed to be reviewing and checking this kind of crap.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

So that means you are in the "middle?" I don't really know you all that well Asher. Most of what you say is about Apple, Microsoft and Penises.

I just think calling people extremists is not appropriate since it just means they people something different. I don't think it's a bad thing to have extreme views, but that's how the term is too often used. It's extreme to believe "justice for all." So in that regard I'm proud to be an extremist. I think DF has a more moderate view in that regard which makes him for more of a centrist, which I don't think is good.

                                Apple = left-wing

                                thus, middle.
