          Nobody is condemning betor. Good for her for scoring a 22 year-old; I'd have loved to do the same with a 22 year-old chick when I was in high school.

          Patty has a point, though. I've been 22, and have several friends that age. Maybe you guys can, but I can't imagine (their) dating a 17 year-old while still maintaining my/their self respect.

                  My youngest brother (22) is dating a girl who's 18. She seems like a nice girl, my bro is a good guy, they like each other, so what?

                  Compatibility depends on the people. Some people will change drastically in those years, others not much at all. Also not all people approach relationships the same way. What matters is if two people are right for each other (whether that's long term or just temporarily depending on what they're looking for). Age isn't a fundamental issue in that regard, it's only coincidental.

                  Myself, I was definitely more mature at 17 than 22.

                    I defend B etor's right to make choices. She is an adult (basically), she can choose for herself. But then it was implied that people thought that what B etor was doing was right.

                    I was just saying that I thought it was wrong that she wasn't telling one of the people she was dating that she was dating another person at the same time. I thought that she considered that wrong herself.

                    B etor is a friend. I tell my friends what I think.
