So basically he prefers women of a specific age not relative to his own. My guess is he's going to dump you when you grow too old, like 18 or 19.

I voted for an NDP (Social Democrat) MP once or twice when I was young. I didnt like the party platform but I knew the MP personally.

          i have ADD
          i have suffered from paranoia
i've only gotten laid twice in my life
the first time i got laid was with a girl i met at a dating site online, who was only into open relationships and submission, we broke up the day after we had sex (i was 20)
The second time was to a 17 year old when I was 21, we broke up a week later

wow. wrong. you don't know me and you don't know him. his last girlfriend was a year younger than him and they went out for a year. the one before that was the same year as him and they went out for three years.
It probably appears that way to you because you figure you attracted a older mature guy meaning you must be more mature than your peers. It is far more likely that the opposite is true. There is a reason derision is heaped upon these high school trawlers.

Does he drive a white panel van by chance?

All I can say is that if any of my buddies had brought home a 17 year old to a party or event after we had graduated college neither of them would be welcome. The 17 year old because of the age, and the friend because I and every guy alive knows EXACTLY what he is doing and why. Contributing to the delinquency of a minor aside, there really is just nothing substantial we could have in common, as my 17 year old sister routinely proves.

Hell, I could barely stand college freshmen when I was a senior, with rare exceptions.

you don't know me and you don't know him.
Wow, if I had a dollar for every time a sailor told me that one. It is usually after an angry phone call to the ship from a 16-17 year olds parents, or better yet after picking them up from jail when they are found with a 16-17 year old in the car on a country road.

"Sure SN Timmy, I am sure this 18 year old stripper you fell in love with last night the day before deployment really is different, go right ahead and sign over your power of attorney"

While I can't speak towards b etor's personality, Patroklos, there are exceptions to every rule. You've only provided generalities and anecdotal evidence here. It's certainly possible that a 17 year old girl and a 22 year old guy can be on the same maturity level; it's just unlikely.

As long as what she's doing is legal (which it is, apparently), you passing judgment on her or her boyfriend's actions serves no benefit whatsoever. The only reasonable thing to do is observe. Through observation you can learn that perhaps your suspicions are correct and the guy is a creep, or through observation you can learn that there is a dyamic involved you hadn't considered before and the two make a good match.

From your vantage point across the internet, however, any observations you can make about the situation are more than likely going to be grossly inaccurate. So, even still, with only reading what she chooses to present to us, there is no reason at all for you to pass any sort of judgment on what she's doing.

Or, if you do, no one should bother listening to you, because you can only be right by accident.

I haven't provided any evidence whatsoever, nor have I claimed to.

If you want to pretend b eator isn't a walking after school special feel free. It is not like this is the first time she has told us about risky behavior with older men (and that time it wasn't legal).

She put her personal buisness on the internet, not me.

I don't want to pretend she's anything. As far as I'm concerned, she is words on a screen.

True. But it's not as if she's asking for our advice or opinion on the subject.

                          • Whether a guy lets you meet his friends is a good indicator of what you are to him. His housemates don't count though, since you obviously can't fool around at your place.

                              • If it's one thing that is tiresome on this site, it's besserwissers looking down on others. b etor has been the victim to that one time too much. I don't agree with some of her life choices, but neither I nor any other here have any right to condemn her like some do here from time to time.
