That's a really pathetic hit job.

It's utterly blatant. I mean, look @ this:

Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother's side and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father's side. While Barack Hussein Obama's father was from Kenya, his father's family was mainly Arabs.. Barack Hussein Obama's father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab
That Arab blood, man, gotta watch out for it! He's tainted for sure!

    Disgusting.

      "Pathetic" will work.

On some, yes it will. The hope is that it won't be enough. We'll see.

          Are those percentages lies?
There doesn't seem to be any negative conotaction in that quote, just a statement of fact.
I'm just curious if those percentages are true.
If so, I didn't realize he was so little black. (percentage wise, that is)

I think McCain will be a fine next addition to the parade of amusing presidents. GHB was the real dud in the chain. Being a "wimp" was his best shot.

It is a legitimate point, if not a legitimate critisism. If he is Arab then thats what he should say if he insists on throwing his racial identification out there. I don't particularly care one way or the other, but I do care that HE cares about it.

Are you kidding me that you don't see the point of those percentages?

Whether or not they're true (I don't know), why do they matter in the slightest?

Why does him growing up muslim at first (to the extent that part is true) matter either?

This is a hit job aimed at stoking xenophobia. OMG he's an Arab Muslim! RUN!

The guy is a mixture of lots of things. This is, apparently, something the GOP thinks it can use to hurt him in the general election campaign. Knows it can use, really. Again, the question will be whether it's enough.

Because Obama himself has made a good portion of his campaign hing on a potential historical precident which might actually not exist.

Again, I don't care, but I do care that he (Obama) cares about so much.

So it is not historic if a part-arab, part-black, part-white man gets elected president?

No, if Obama gets elected it would be historic. Period...

And you're lying through your rotten teeth if you say you think the percentages serve any other purpose than playing to republican xenophobia.

No, it's a retarded point (like the email in general), even if it were true. Race is a sociological (i.e. what people think of you as is a pretty important consideration), not a genetic affiliation.

Well I hate to say this but Arabs are caucasians. Meaning Obama is just another Caucaisan president. Sure he is a different kind of caucasian, I still think its rather important, something like the first Chatolic president.

Sure, just like it would be historic if a Lakers fan got elected. I personally put even weight on both. I do, however, fully recognize that many people care a great deal about such superficial distinctions, people like Obama. If those numbers are correct, the only historic thing is that Obama looks black, not his heritage of being African (which if this correct he really has no claim to at all given his upbringing), can you get any more superficial than that? At least if his claim to historic precedent was Arab, it would be something more substantial than aesthetics.

And you're lying through your rotten teeth if you say you think the percentages serve any other purpose than playing to republican xenophobia.
I don't remember denying that. Feel free to quote me. I have no doubt that xenophobic people (as if Republicans have the market in xenophobia, been to PA/OH ever? ) will be interested in these facts (if they are true, as rah attempted to determine).

However, the statement does also play to those of us who don't like blatant hyperbole and pandering as well.

Agreed, so given his family and upbringing, where does his black street cred come from? Are you really going to steriotype him solely based on apperance (which I would call Arabic anyway)?
