I didn't hear that particular song, but it's a known fact all slavic countries vote for eachother, no matter how awful the song is.

Correct. But we aren't that many. And seriously, in a contest of awful songs, you guys in the east wins hands down in awfulness.

But instead of whinning take a bit of advice: invite Bjorndalen (spelling) to participate in the Eurovision-2009. With his unforgettable ski dancing and random shooting to the crowd you will win the next song contest for sure.

Come on, you need to be more creative than Russians to win the next Eurovision.

Again, you need something more than just Slavic/Orthodox brotherhood to have a 42 pts. handicap. If a 42 pts. lead is not a confident victory, then I don't know what a confident victory is.

Having heard the Russian song it indeed is better than the rest I've heard. Did Lithuania give Russia 12 points?

Relax dude, you were cool The old guy was very cool. According to the Russian commentators who trained with him the day before the show, he in his 75 years makes a 75kg bench-press! Probably he lied to them, I'm not really sure he is so tough, but still he is cool old dude. And his a bit younger dudes performed their song just fine, but the song itself was ok, but... it was a bit like a restaurant music.
Like a later Serbian "Kalashnikov-Kalashnikov-Kalashnikov" song (performed by the guy who writes music for Emir Kusturica movies). I love that song, but still can't remember his name.

Yes, they did. And we thank them very much. I can tell about that now, when the vote count is over - it was a plot between me and Saras.

I would like to thank our other Baltic neighbours Estonia and Latvia who gave us 12 pts. too. (well, to be precise all the Russians who live in those two clearly russofobic states).

Not bad. The singer has a tiresome voice though.

Honestly speaking, I wouldn't mind to hear a Stradevari violin without any vocal. This Hungarian maestro Edwin Marton is really great (and btw, his Russian is almost perfect). We were lucky to had him in our team (he is a friend of our champ Plushenko and played his Stradevari in Turin 2006 Olympics when Plushenko won gold). That was a really amazing show!

Here it is. A figure skater from other planet (nobody except him can make such 4-3-2 cascade of jumps).

                              He is a legend.

God damn it this was the ****tiest winner ever. Dima Bilan is such a cancer on everything and Russia should start from -100 every year to compensate for diaspora voting. I mean, we could have had something innovative like Bosnia or France or a solid pop song like Greece or Ukraine but nooooooo it's Russia's greasiest schlockmeister and his gimmicky figure-skater and violinist who bring the goods in.
