I've been keeping myself occupied by cooking. I made ravioli from scratch the other day and it was good. I'm thinking I will make beef jerky next.

Didn't get the job with the one Chemical company, which is probably for the better. Haven't heard anything from the other phone interview yet either, so that's probably a no go.

I had the interview Monday, it took all day. I think I put my best foot forward, and feel that if I don't get it than it's because I wouldn't fit their culture, and that's not something I can decide.

I sent my resume into a recruiting firm today for a job I saw on their boards, and not even 2-minutes later they call to discuss the position. The recruiter told me he already had my resume from an earlier app. and was going to call me for the spot. I'm not sure if that's true, but he was familiar with my resume, and was too familiar to have only had 1 minute with it. The job looks like a good one, and would utilize my MBA, so that would be nice.

        Anyway...

Job searches suck-I'm on one currently, not a fun situation.

Good luck to both of you. Sounds like you've got some good prospects there, Japher.

Yeah, I hate job hunting, hopefully I won't have to do any for a long, long time now...

I had two interviews today. The first went well, the second...brutal. req'd transcript of classes taken 5-7 years ago and quizzed on specifics "what happened there???"

Good luck Japher and sleepy! If I had a company you'd be my first two hires.

Well... maybe third and fourth after some really hot chick.

you'll need more than one hot chick if you expect me to work for you

I hate brutal interviews. I've had ones before where I stopped trying half way through, because I could tell the interviewer did.

Yeah, if those interviews go on too long I start feeling like an actor in a boring movie.

Yeah, the one on Monday went that way. It was a relief when you got some guy who liked to talk about himself. If they tend to ask the same question over and over I like to answer them in slightly different ways. That way I cover all my bases
