    I want to do a PGCE I need a 2:1.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

      You must love stress.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

It's a student gig. They're won through a mixture of social networking and blatant whoring, not any sort of genius. And what they picked up was probably chlamydia.

This makes sense to you, as a response to the fact that Scotland receives far more money than it gives to the government?

He is still going to host HIGNFY once in a while I hope!!

Though I like the guy, can't believe LOndon actually voted him in.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

Won't they have oil to pay the bills? (while the oil lasts)

Fat chance. He's already surrounded by heavy-duty aides intended to stop him getting carried away and saying stuff that his schoolchums (and absolutely nobody else) will find funny.

Their new cash cow is renewable energy. Though the SNP's ruralism makes it unlikely commit they'll to it, for example the cancellation of the Lewis wind farm. Tidal power is even more of an unknown; one peep from Scotland's precious fisherman, and they'll stall on that as well.

Learn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world. Extend your awareness outward, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and the greater race are transcendant, and to embrace them is to acheive enlightenment.

I think they'd swap that for a government that addresses their own interests.

As for Ireland? Look outside of Dublin and you'll see it still lags a long way behind on a number of national infrastructure issues, even after all those EU subsidies.
Still whacking you guys on the Human Development Index. I'd certainly choose it over Britain.

Or they'll go back to the traditional Scottish past-time of hating other Scots once the English Enemy is gone to rally against. The Highlanders will hate Edinburgh, the islanders will despise the mainland and the Outer Hebrides will re-start their own dormant independence movement.
