What I like to believe? Yer just giving me the same argument Imran, I already know humans are social critters. That doesn't change the fact you are an independent actor. If you die - YOU die. Society aint goin with ya.
And I meant what I said when I said you are only an individual actor within the societal framework. If you die, you alone die, but your entire life exists within a society and based on rules and norms created by those societies.
It aint a prize, its a claim backed by morality. If you and I were the only people in the world and we met and I tried to kill you, would you be justified in defending yourself? That justification is a valid claim of moral authority to defend your natural right to live.
Me feeling justified to defend myself and that turning into a "valid claim of moral authority" is a jump in logic that doesn't fit. If we were the only two people in the world and you feel that you were justified in killing me, does that give you a valid claim of moral authority? What's the difference?
The valid claim of moral authority that wins out in the battle turns out to the be "correct" one.
The French didn't have nukes, we do
The US MILITARY has nukes, not the citizenry. So, its like I said, people don't invade because of our military, not because our citizenry is armed. Our citizenry owns rifles, handguns, etc.
