I don't want to give NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, but the Java client is embarrassing.

I don't want to, but I have to. Somebody's gotta say these things. I've been quiet for too long -- how long've you guys had that?

Nice and friendly free Java IRC applet suitable for a webchat

Oddly enough I've researched several clients for the vb3 install. As has been said enough times to sink in even to your brain, we are not making ANY improvements to vb2 (excepting game-enders, ie the database crashing).

Hence, while feedback is always appreciated, it is not useful in this instance. The clients I've looked at for vb3 are generally better than that one.

Sorry, but having a Java IRC client hosted on your server has dick-all to do with vb3.

The jIRC client is a subportion of the forum (and given its use, not a particularly important one given the more important things we can focus on). Granted it in some sense stands alone, but the integration with the forum is an essential aspect of it - thus we prefer to use one that can be easily integrated with the vb3 forum.

                    The chat link already exists.

All you have to do is update the applet on the chat page.

There is nothing involving vb2/vb3 here at all.

While the applet itself is surely independent of vB2/3, we ideally want our chat to be somewhat integrated with the forum. That makes it a good idea to get vB3 ready first and then see what would work better with that.

Did somebody fix the Country flag dropdown in the option screen?

It works now, sticks when you change something else.
